Swinton Woolfe. Crime Fiction Indie Author.
I’m Swinton Woolfe, crime fiction author and self-proclaimed mistress of suspense (and occasional chaos). My mystery thrillers, set against the moody backdrop of the Pacific Northwest, owe their grit and heart to my insatiable curiosity and belief that coffee should be dark enough to hide a multitude of sins.
I studied anthropology and criminal justice while earning my BA in Religion and Theater—because why not gather the tools for solving (and creating) crimes and putting on a good show? My career has been a merry jaunt through the eclectic: social worker, radio news editor, public affairs broadcaster, and Shakespearean theater director. Yes, the sword I wielded was real—blunted, thankfully, or there’d be more bodies in my past than in my books.
But not to worry. Now I wield words not a sword and I’m safely tucked away in the San Juan Islands, where my dog, Sherlock, and I roam the trails and the waterfront while plotting the next installment of the Neil Ames, PI Mystery Series. Just don’t ask Sherlock for spoilers—he’s sworn to secrecy.
